I want to rebuild my steering on my '69.  What kits have you used that are reasonably priced?

I use Energy suspension for the bushings & Moog Ball joints & tierods etc

I bought mine from Performance Suspension Components. The kit had some Moog parts in it. It was the best price for a complete kit that I found.

I used a combination of parts as well.  Energy Suspension for the urethane parts, Moog for the hard parts and there is some TRW in there too.

I have heard that the Graphite urethane bushings still squeak.  Anyone having any trouble with squeaks?
I want to help the handling on the 71 all I can but I don't want anoying squeaks.

Ghoste

I went with rubber for anything that rotated (like control arm bushings) and urethane for anything that took a compresion load (like sway bar or strut rods). and mine does not squeak.

I did a little looking on the net for Moog parts. Heres the part numbers I have for a 69. I would say they are the same for 68 and 70 models as well. I will be going to the local parts store here next week for prices.

Anyone have problems getting those damn poly torsion bar boots to fit??? Whats up with those?

Ghoste

Not NEARLY as many problems as I had getting the sway bar bushings on.  The stuff is tight but it does go on eventually.

Yes...got digusted after trying to get them on for about an hour and went back to rubber. They don't look "stock" anyway which is what I wanted in the first place.
