Code readers please.... is this my correct original spare??? I think it's been in the trunk during my life time. 1969 SuperBee.. built Feb 25/69 or there abouts, as my engine wasn't built until Feb 28th.

14 x 5 1/2 JK ... M5
                          7
B MADE IN CAN 830
A 1 4 19

Had my tires removed from rims today, getting ready to clean them up and install my 5 x Goodyear Speedway Red Streaks that arrive tomorrow on FedEx. The tire shop thought I was nuts, perfect Michelin radials that are soft, pliable, full tread, installed in 1989 !  lol 5 guys + the owner and all said they'd run them..   :yesnod:

Date codes are by the valve stem hole.

Yep.. just blasted it there and it's the same. Thanks for the input!  :2thumbs:

If you look close in the picture above of inside the rim.. it also has M5 with a 7 under it off to the right side... and 4 19 April 19th. So I guess it's an 1967 wheel, mfg April 19th at M5 plant... which ever that is.

Not sure on the "55"  :scratchchin:

M5 is Motor Wheel plant #5. The 7 under could also be 1977? I think but not sure 1960's Chrysler wheels are all made in USA. The 55 is the width 5.5 inch.

Thanks.. from my own resto thread.. was advised M5 was the Chatham, Ontario Motor Wheel plant and probably a spare from a C body car.

So my rims have a "B1-6" on one side of the stem and a Y2 5.5 on the other.  Would that translate into a Budd-manufactured wheel January 1966?  What does the Y2 signify?

Does anyone have a source for decoding date codes for a Budd Manufactured wheel?  The only thing I can find mentions the Budd rim but goes on for how to decode a Motor Wheel.
