Finally getting back on the Charger after a 6 year hiatus.....

Car was missing the Auto Console and Mounting Brackets when I bought it.

Am looking at the AMD brackets, but am unsure how to position them on the floor before welding them on.

How am I best positioning thhese brackets?

- Do I use the console itself?
- Or are there templates/measurements available to position the brackest.

Thanks in advance for your help, as always.

Install seats, attach brackets to the console shell, tack weld them, then check the fittment of the top plates , shifter and console lid for fitment. If all is good weld for real and done.

Adding on to old thread here:
I made this mounting jig from my '70 auto to put in 69 4-speed.  These were chopped out for some reason.
Made the 3 brackets from 1.5"x1/8" flat stock.  Can buy these from brewer's.

I'm done with jig if someone wants it...BM me about it.
