We ordered our B5 2015 in mid January 2015. It was at the dealer here in Northern CA the first week of March. Train transport across country took time.

I received my new Challenger GT Sat. (3/4/17). I ordered it Jan 31st 2017. It was built (2/13/17), released (2/15/17) and then shipped (2/16/17). It sat in a lot in Mechanicville NY after it got off the train, waiting for a truck to take it to the dealership in CT. Dodge gave me a window of 2/24/17 to 3/2/17 for the car to arrive at the dealership. It arrived at the dealer on Thursday 3/2/17. Originally I was told figure 6-8 weeks for delivery of my car. In the end it was just over 4 weeks! It was the longest 4 weeks ever.
We already named her Scarlet. She's a beauty! I love it. It is awesome!

Congrats--I get that you had fun with the order and the waiting. :2thumbs:
I felt the same fun when I ordered my 09 srt challenger new.  I also had a great adventure getting a one way flight to get my 2015 hellcat and a 1500 mile drive home with it.

What comes to mind is how cool and fun it is to make up one's mind, find, and buy a car.  It need -not- be a new car but it is new to us.

The down contrast of that experience is when we have to-- or need to sell something.  That experience seems to not have a fun part aside the space it provides.
If one has something special to sell and seeks top dollar it's like being constipated. -- We have to do this--and it is not easy. :eek2:

Car is cool and all...but they really couldnt think of a better name? "GT"?

Its has enough that lay people already confuse them w Camaros....now theyre gonna ask if it has the "5.0"?

They've been doing that for 40 years. Why change perceptions now.  :shruggy:

Congrats! You are going to love it! I love mine. It is surprisingly fast for a V6. According to the timer in the car, it did 0-60 in 6.1 seconds with the transmission in drive.
I can't wait to hear your impressions of the car.

Yesterday I went to a plumbing supply house. As I approached my car and popped the trunk, a guy approached me and asked me "what's the story with the GT emblems?". I explained to him it was AWD and was a new model that was introduced in Jan. I explained that it was the same driveline and AWD system as the Charger. He seemed to be familiar with AWD Chargers and was aware that the V6s really moved.
At the end, he told me he thought that someone had just stuck GT emblems from a Mustang on a Challenger! Pretty funny!

"GT" has been around MOPAR for a LONG LONG time! Not sure the confusion, but maybe I'll find some Dart GTS badging and put it on the wife's to avoid the stupidity!

I did tell the guy that Dodge has used GT since the Lancer GT of the early 60's. Most people don't know about Dodge using GT, but know about Mustang GTs. I might have to remove the emblems so I don't have to deal with the clueless.

Sad that they f'd up the look of the nose with the licence plate holder! Couldn't it have gone down lower, or off to a side?

It is not an option here in California either but I never put ours on.Yeah, there is a small fine for not having a front plate but I haven't put a front plate on anything but my work truck.
I specifically requested to the dealer than when the car came in, I did NOT want holes drilled in the front to mount the bumper. A guy on ChallengerTalk put suction cups on his license plate bracket so he can mount it when he is in places where he might be seen by Police.

Not here either... :D

On the other hand, both of the states closest to me only have rear plates so, I imagine, the cops are fairly used to it. Unless I'm doing something totally dumb I doubt they want to spend the energy to see if my rear plate is from a state that requires a front plate.

There are companies that make hidden brackets that either fold or have a quick release to remove the plate at shows. They all move the plate down near the lower opening so they don't look terrible even if you never hide/remove the plate.

I was fortunate. My salesman knew I was a car guy, so he asked if I wanted the front plate bracket installed or not. I told him to leave it off and don't drill the holes. I am willing to take my chances of a ticket for not having a front plate.

Ive been rollin my challenger w out a front plate for a year or so, but my day of reckoning may come soon. I do have CA black plates that blend in nicely w the black car (as opposed to the regular white plates), so i should throw it on sooner rather than later (see my method below)

I used to have it on my last challenger w long toggle bolts going through the plates bottom holes through the lower grille. I put strips of double sided tape w the backing still on around the back of the plate to keep it from scratching the paint. Cheap and easy hack w out drilling.

I drove my new 2009 srt challenger without front plate until I sold it last year.  The plate mount was still in the trunk where the dealer put it.

So far the same goes for my 2015 hellcat that I bought new in Wisconsin. The dealer left it up to me to comply with laws where I live --or not.

I'm in Oregon and had a photo radar ticket come in the mail once.  Their were two photos--one coming- and one going.  zap  :slap:
No charge for lack of front plate. :shruggy:

In all the write ups I understood you could adjust how much front wheel drive kicked in... any idea on this or how to program? All I can find is Comfort / Regular / Sport settings on the steering and Regular and Sport on the ride - traction control.  :scratchchin: :shruggy:
