Yes, it is.     It is also a rare 2 x 4 bbl unit.    Only used in NASCAR in 1968.    Does not fit a street Hemi manifold.

built it , been collecting parts for years  .  Sold his six pac bird so he could finish this one and his boss 9 Talledega Build .  So now he has three
Race themed aero cars  .  Or 4 if you count the Cale Cyclone spoiler II but its stock .  That makes 6 aero car total with the silver daytona mostly stock and the charger 500 also .

No comps to a 68 because it was at Talladega.    The #71 Daytona ran 201.104 with the twin 4-bbls.    So that would be compared with Baker's 200.447 in March.    But that dual carb setup in the #71 would not be legal for race competition in 1970.   Nor would the body configuration with the roof drip rails removed and various items bondoed in.   But he did set a closed course speed record.

Weather that day was pretty bad.   18 degrees in the morning and windy.    Isaac said he got blown up to the top of the banking by a cross wind.     When he came in, he asked how fast he went.    When told he had the record,  he said,  "Well that's enough of that chit" and he was done for the day.

The Unser car at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 1972.    Look how the pipes are sucked up into the rocker panels of the car.

A dual purpose car, it also ran on dirt without nose and wing.

Probably 2 complete nose setups, would be easier to change..

One Superbird front clip.  One short track clip.   All comes off in one piece.   Probably took longer to change springs, torsion bars and shocks.

The coils on the race cars had a heat sink around them.

Back in the era a racer gave me a large finned "Blue Streak" coil and said that it was the best thing at that time. I ran it  but have no idea if it was an improvement or not. :yesnod:
