I finally bought another 68.

so I had 73 a few years ago, then got stationed in Germany, sold it there, added a little money and bought a beautiful 68 charger in blue. Shortly though, I got orders to return back to the US, and I decided not to ship it, so I sold it in Germany (after 6 monhts of ownership). Upon return to the states, I decided to go a different classic route, and bought 1988 Carrera... however, since I've sold my 68 (6 months ago) something has been missing in my life. I kept looking for 68 to pop up, but wasn't ready to pull the trigger yet... that's until 3 days ago! Randomly saw a post on FB about one for sale, and I immediately jumped on it. So as of yesterday, I'm a proud new owner of a 68 charger, 383, in bronze :))) never even saw that color before (I always wanted a black charger), but this color grew on me soooo much, that I can't get enough of it.

enjoy the pics!!!

^^^ Ditto!

Congrats on landing that great looking '68, and thanks for showing it off, too. :)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Congratulations!  It's good to see another MM1 car.  I can relate regarding your impression of the color.  At first I was ambivalent about the bronze but it really won me over.  It is unique and I expect you will get a lot of positive comments about it.

Really great color!  And 1988, a great year for the Carrera.  Thank you for your service.  I was stationed on a small missile base in southern Germany (just north of Landsberg) back in the day and loved it there.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Guys, this car is wow!!!  The level of restoration is mind boggling. Every little detail is taken care of. Its mint, under the hood, underside, and interior. Has a little light in ignition! Winshield vipers work and so does the washer, lights open up like new. I mean wow! Its museum quality.

What a great car!  :drool5:
What did you go with on the new tire/wheel combos? & Backspace/offset if you know, please.
I'm 'shopping' as it were. Been reading the tire/wheel threads 'til my brain hurts.  :brickwall:
