I have G60-15 bias Indy's which run about the same or slightly wider than 255/60/15 on a 8" wheel 3.75" or 4" back space (I forget which sorry)
No problems with clearance
The new tire next to it is a 295/50/15.
My first Charger was a Stock Car.

255/60-15 is to me the best suit tire on B bodies all around

Just ordered 4 Torq Thrust D 15x8's for my 70 Charger. Think 255's will fit all around?  :scratchchin: (0 offset so assume 4.5" backspace, vendor knows it's for my Mopar.)

I have 255/60R15s on the front of my 70. They fit fine. And look right.
