Here's some news on Polywideblock from another forum.

I have some bad news with regard to Phil (polywideblock).

After spending a couple of days searching the web, I found (with some help from CarNut) a relative, which led me to an area, and finally one of Phil's daughters.
I have just been in contact with Phil's daughter a few minutes ago, and she gave me some
information on why Phil has been missing from all sites he belongs to.

Phil has been in hospital since the time he was last on site, and is seriously ill.  He is likely to be in hospital, and out of action for quite some time to come.  He has been made aware of the fact that we are all worried about his well being, and appreciates the concern.  Phil is a very private man and so all I can say is that he is in good hands, and he will return some day soon.

Please, if you care to pray for Phil's well being and return to good health....do so.

His email's are not being cleared or monitored, so sending PM's will go nowhere for a while.

I will update with anything else as it comes to hand.  So please join with me in wishing Phil a smooth, steady and speedy recovery.

I do not know either, but kiwigtx posted the following to FBBO on July 12, 2017:

"Just checked my PM's and he was telling me about a very bad bout of influenza he was going through on June 18th...so maybe he has been laying low while recovering? Still checking, and waiting on a reply from Joey."


Only speculation on my part, but maybe Polywideblock suffered a relapse/complication from his bout of influenza. If so, then he will be out-of-circulation for many months to come.

"Some great news at last.....I have heard back from Phil's daughter, and Phil is getting better. Still a little way off from posting here again....but I'm hopeful it won't be too long now.

A big thank you to everyone who has been chiming in here, and offering any prayers or kind wishes. Phil is aware of this and appreciates the concern and thoughtfulness. I hope that we will soon see our friend back here posting the usual mayhem and cheeky remarks that we all know and love.

I can only guess what you're going through Phil. What a bloody nightmare...........the kind you never want to come true. I can imagine how frustrating it must be for you. Things you took for granted (we all take for granted) now a major challenge.
But obviously you're mentally strong to have made such a remarkable comeback and persevering with the setback which has got to pay off in the long run.
Good on you mate. You have my admiration. Just keep forging ahead a day at a time.
