Has anyone built the 440 source 400 to 500ci stroker?

It has the light pistons and says it will rev quickly. It requires oil ring supports. Any downside to these pistons? Do they wear any faster than a taller piston?

Thanks in advance!!

I have not, but on a street driven car, i would not use a piston so short that the oil rings are over the wrist pin. It can be done, but will probably have noise and longevity issues.

Why did you opt for the 512? Did you consider the 500?

Thanks

for what coonhunterjoe said, also I like the smaller rod journal of the 4.250 stroke crank, mine revs like a small block.

Thinking Ill go with the 512. Do you see any advantage of getting the ultralight crankshaft?

I would go 470 a good middle ground and less side load.
