Enjoy your remaining time with him and family....

Your car has bounced around on some threads.  At times it seems you are not that into the RTSE rarity.  We all have our thing.  At the end I would say keep what you like and upgrade as you desire to better or funnier cars.  I am working on and towards a little 6.1L-69 dart now (intended for one of my kids actually).

The last 5 yrs has shown a lot of change in the market and increased volumes of buyers/flippers.  With my X9 RTSE, my standard line has been... "yeah, just really not interesting in selling".  On at least half dozen occasions someone say well what would it take to buy it and my replay was a stupid number (let's just say about 15k above perceived national market at that time).  Normal reactions were ohh guess you do not want to sell it or something like that.  The last time I spit out that number the guy then asked for my phone number and would call me...  I was lucky he did not step up as I see it as a verbal agreement (contract) if he accepted.  He never called.  Verbal commandments do not mean much anymore it seems.

Regarding your cool rare great car and obviously loving the rare RTSE thing I am not surprised at all someone offered or accepted 30k.  Not a bit.  I am still surprised that red sunroof v21 RTSE in TX sold for less than that, but I have digressed.  30k is only 5-10k on top of same car in most other cars we would think.

Some good thoughts by other members too.

Good luck on your next steps...
