74 Charger: seatbelts and seats?

Hello,

Two quick questions:

The front seats on my Charger are not in very good shape, and feel heavier than the entire car!   I've seen a lot of modern replacement options, but is the bolt pattern a standard or will I have to pierce through the floor?

I'm guessing that replacing the back seat seatbelts is easy, but where can I find modern, ceiling-hung seatbelts for the front seat? I'm really tired of fighting the seatbelt every time I sit in the car.

Thanks!

Can't answer all the questions but take in mind if you still have working the interlock system will need to find the way to keep the seat sensors and the female buckle sensors. That is if you think on keep them working. Not just the interlock system itself like the seatbelt buzzer an light

I know what the buzzer is, but not sure about the interlock. If there's a way to cancel the buzzer, I'd happily do it!

The interlock system is what since 74 by Fed regulations doesn't allow you to crank the engine if you don't have fastened your seatbelts. On most of cars have being bypassed even by the dealer back in the days because they were prone to fail, although the buzzer system still worked. Canadian and export cars were not actually interlocked but just a buzzer unit control brain which plugs and wired the same but drives the seatbelt, the key in and lights on ( if optioned ) warning buzzers, not an interlock function. Brain Unit looks the same but just diff color.

This brain is a plastic box located down the dash frame between ashtray glovebox.

Usually blue box for auto cars, white for manual, orange for non interlocked cars. On 75 some other colors. I think this was gone by 76

Can't tell if simply removing/unplugging the harness down the carpet plugged at passenger side kick, the seatbelt wiring system will be disabled or not. I have known it should be.

I got a Canadian car, so no interlock to deal with. I'm pretty sure it will be easy to complete a circuit for the buzzer... Thanks for the info.

Well, actually seat sensors should be easy to install on new seats, somehow... and belt buckles... well maybe there is a chance male terminals could match into the female piece
