Very cool...I would be very proud to have that in my garage....and that would get serious attention in the UK...I've only ever seen one here...don't know if it was real or not ! Mind you it might be a bit tight...what with the partly assembled 69, two Alfas, the wife's Merc, Mk2 Golf Gti project I've just bought and my KTM!

sorry I cant remember...is this a stock suspension or some upgrades?

:2thumbs:

Its stock but have air shocks in the back

Well the tremec does not line up in the same position as an original 4 speed, but after 5 hours fabricating a new shifter bracket it looks pretty close. Had to use the old automatic console cut a hole and buy a new console wood sticker.  I got a 4 speed sticker which was a mistake go with an automatic if I had to do it another time.

Little nerve racking drilling a hole in new paint but it worked out.  Drilled a hole years ago into a 69 Mach 1 hood for a set of hood pins I slipped and well it was not a happy ending.

With all the chit-chatting he did with local Daytona owners, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a line on a real one...

Yep wife being a wife. So I said ok I will sell it then.  She changed her mind later on that night.

Glad everything worked out.  After all that work, it would have been tragic to sell...not to mention filling in a FVIR.   :eek2:

So after almost 2 years I finally got to drive the car.  The TREMEC is awesome by the way, lots of work still to be done but all minor stuff.  AND YES I KNOW THE GAS CAP IS OPEN  :smilielol:

Very nice.....but that stripe positioning would bug the hell out of me!! Guess that just the detail freak in me and why I could never do a factory style resto! Looks great though....one of my favorite colour combos.
