Petty painted a lot of their stuff blue to keep the other teams guessing the make/model of their equipment!

Still works years later when us wingnuts are looking at jacks!   :yesnod:

I can say 100% it was not the #88 jack.
They were still using it at the WWG.

What we need to do it to start identifying the jacks under the various MoPars...   :Twocents:

The one that Petty has in some pictures looks like a  "Hein Warner" orange handle and body.I used to own one..  The one under Bobby Allison's car looks like a "Walker", yellow handle and a blue body. :Twocents:

I have a Hein-Warner WS jack, used all the time.  Nice quality product.   :Twocents:

Torn down. Amazing that it doesn't leak.

So, is this the actual WWG jack used in the photo, or one like it?

Putting an A in Hein-WERNER drives me nuts like people spell "Nichols" Engineering wrong every day.    Keep it up and I will start posting 429 CI Mopar engine call outs.  :smilielol:

Tilar

I have a jack very similar to the one at the bottom of that picture... I think the only difference is instead of having the solid piece that goes under the bumper, mine has an adjustable chain with a piece that goes under the bumper... I think it's still around here somewhere.

One like it. I think the original went to the Pettys at the end of 1970, when the WWG was disbanded.
Photo above of 1971 Petty RR on jack looks like it!!

Updated the title of this thread to include any MoPar stock car on a jack.

The jack that has a skid plate under it is interesting.
