Looks like pretty good deal to me for an A body, although I'm not much for the black paint treatment.

Prepare yourself guys.
In the near future after all the b bodys & more desirable cars are snatched up and stored in privite collections, this is the mopar stock that you will see on the market.
Overpriced, overhyped, non-original "muscle cars" in terrible paint jobs!

The car is a mess of poor decisions.
The bumble bee treatment is a product of the 80s. Blacked out trim? That stuff went out of style with feathered hair, leisure suits and rabbit ears for TV sets.
The grille, hood and bumper are 1973-76 parts, not 1972.
Blacked out engine bay? Come on, people! The guy stuffed a 440 in there. This means that the engine bay was EMPTY for some time, you mean this idiot couldn't mix up a half pint of that hideous yellow to spray the engine bay the same color as the car ??

As we say here..."black engine bay...stay away".....actually that might be just me!  :icon_smile_big:

Wait.....leisure suits went out of style? Crap.

I think you wrote that before. I agree but when the car goes up for sale, deviations from good taste affect the value.

I like to see some individuality sometimes but it is almost a guarantee that there will be fewer people interested the further it gets from a factory stock specimen.
When people on forums post pictures about their modifications, I want to be supportive and positive as much as I can. Sometimes these people are those that I have chatted with before and simply out of respect, I acknowledge the talent and effort even if it is not something that I like.
This Scamp is not a lost cause, it is just way overpriced. IF the car had a properly painted engine bay, chrome bumpers and modern wheels, it could be a $10,000 car to the right guy. I think what drives the Dusters and Demons to higher sales price is "Street Cred". They could have been had with 340s or 360s. The Scamp peaked with a 318. I sold a 73 Dart Sport 340 with a stock 360, fresh paint and nice interior for $9000 4 months ago.

exactly what I thought when I saw this for sale...,......

Question for US members.....how much would the Satty Sebring in this ad get in the US? The price it's up for in the above add equates to about $39,000......which is way over (like about double...) what I would pay for it.

And looking at the photos it seems to have some sort of identity crisis....71 front grill....72 taillights...
I would agree with your pricing and would be sad if this is a reflection of a 'nut and bolt' restoration in th uk
