It started out as a rusty, green '69 R/T SE.

Now, it's well on it's way to being a Daytona.

A fake Daytona, that is.

Why do people think a hackjob dash is an improvement?
The original dash on these cars is one of the most beautiful of the era.

At that price, the poor car will never be rescued from its current embarrassing existence.

What's wrong with the wood paneling dash and door handles?  Very stylish.  Problem with this one is you would have to start over.....

Folks start out with good intentions and when the time and money rack up, its goes pear-shaped! eek

Building a good quality clone will cost nearly as much as restoring an original Daytona, (if you have an original to restore that is) so corners will be cut... scratchchin

Then it ends up looking like a Frankenstein jobbie... slap

Best laid plans of mice/men and Mopars... pity

The 360 engine with metally bits hanging off will not get TOP dollar unfortunately.

I would normally agree but I don't want to insult any drunk monkeys who might see this post.

When I saw the listing was from Hueytown, my first thought was "I hope he doesn't try to talk Bobby Allison into authenticating it." Undecided
