69 Charger Rear Seat Floor Pan Question

Hello, I am getting ready to install my carpet into my 1969 Charger, but in reviewing every hole and plug, I am wondering what this hole is used for or if it needs to be plugged? The 2 attached pictures are not my charger, but the same hole exists. I have added sound deadner throughout the floor pan, so the pictures make it easier to see the hole.

Also, because I have the sound deadner installed, I was not thinking I needed to install a jute pad or anything else under the carpet?

Suggestions or opinions?

needs to be plugged  , think its a alignment hole for the floor   used on assembly line  :scratchchin:   , hole  is  not used for anything

The jute is sorta optional.  I plan on putting jute on top of my sound deaden-er.   To me you can't have too much insulation, as long as it will all still fit well.       :yesnod:    :Twocents:

Thanks Tan top for the pick... I will dig into my bag of plugs and find one that fits!

Garner7555 Thanks for the information on the jute pad. I got my carpet out this morning to get it ready to install and see that the legendary interior carpet has some jute attached to the bottom of the carpet. Maybe not all carpet is this way???

I will start the install process today! Will post pictures later.
