ok many ppl say the /6 k member is not adequate, enough for a 440 bb others say it is with Schmacher  motor mounts. And evidently this guy did a complete mod to his with a Hot rod article and all.

I have a extra 383 bb V8 k member and a /6 already in the car. which should i go with if i am going 440, thoughts?

1951 F1 Ford 302 EFI, Automatic
1965 F100 Ford Straight 6, 3 speed on column (all original)

BLK 68 R/T

I'd use the BB one. Save money from not having to buy conversion mounts.

Nacho-RT74

get the real one mounted.

conversion kits are TO ME, if you don't have any other solution handy, but... HAVING IT LAYING AROUND ? makes no sense a conversion kit

QuoteHAVING IT LAYING AROUND ?

i have a good friend who gave it to me off an old parts car he had. He has NO chargers but, has (1) 68 RR, (1) 69 satellite and (4) 69 RR's :) a 70 chevelle with 302 chevy engine, and a 60 model impala 4 door SS with 20k miles on it (still has the seat belt rolled up on passenger side that has never been unrolled) body is in excellent shape (still has original paint)

oh and get this, the k member he gave me didn't come of any of those cars (not sure why he had it but, I am glad he did).

I want to help him restore his 69 black on black on black RR. he isn't worried about numbers he wants a 440/4 speed in the black car.
Once my shop is done this year i plan on having two mopars on rotisserie (his 69 RR) and one of my Chargers.
