Just as it sounds, I rolled the window up. Heard a 'small' noise. And now it's STUCK. can't move it a millimeter. So, I am getting the Factory Service Manual out...

I'm sure all the hardware is original.

window is stuck in the 'up' position.

Thanks

John

PS, it rolled up and down nicely, a while back, I lubed everything. Adjusted nice too. New window felts may have added to the drag.

update, still hard to do, but using Yahoo Advanced search, I found quite a bit here, some going back 12 years.

Looks like I will have to remove the whole vent window and door glass. Reading the posts, I can see this is going to be a bear. and quite frankly, for the first time I feel frustrated. So, according to the FSM,
#1, remove nut from stud on lower end of vent wing. Well, looks like mine was held there with a tie wrap.
#2,remove screw and washer assembly attaching vent wing to belt line. OK, stuck here. Where is this screw and washer?
#3, remove leg wing leg stud from slot in hinge pillar support. I am lost on that one too.

A step at a time here...

F points toward front.

loking under vent window.

and there is this screw on the bottom of the vent window. Do I remove that?

Thanks!!!

Did you try pulling the glass up and down or just turn the crank ?

I think I would try to find where it is stuck before pulling it all out of the door
As you have seen that is not very fun

Glass is stuck too. HOWEVER, since the regulator is probably shot, I put vise grips and cranked on it HARD.  Broke it loose, and works good. Down the road, I will replace the regulator. Works ok now.

But will need fixing and replacing in the future.
