Enclosed trailer.. check !

That's as far as I've got.. LOL

Only 1100 miles one way for me..

Hoping to make it with my SuperBird cleaned up a bit and road ready, but need to get the 'Bee further along before I switch gears.

Where do people stay, etc, with enough room for trailers, safe overnight parking, etc.

I have a farm that is less than 1 hour drive from the track.  I could probably give you some advice about what town to look for hotels in.   I plan to attend this event in my Charger as well.     :2thumbs:

Alexander City is the base.  Everything is within a mile or so of the Wellborn Musclecar Museum.   Plenty of hotels (and The American Inn is only one you do not stay at).  There is always a rig lot for trailers.

Short of my former 71 Charger R/T, I have had the Daytona almost the longest of any of my Mopars...

I didn't see your earlier post. 5,400 was the bare minimum.  From your experience, I'll plan on 7,000.

Wow.....its only about 7000 round trip from here in the UK.

EDIT: Just checked...its about 3550 miles from my house in Sussex UK to Carlisle!! That's flying in a straight line of course !

I didn't see your earlier post. 5,400 was the bare minimum.  From your experience, I'll plan on 7,000.

I checked my mileage logs from the 1999 trip, it was 6,162 miles round trip.....that did not include the driving around town doing this & that while we were there.....we also spent one day extra in Las Vegas on the way back home....I didn't include those city miles driven either

On the trip down, we kinda angled our drive from Seattle to Birmingham. On the way back home, we went straight across the bottom of the US and took Interstate 10 from the meet to Las Vegas, spent the extra day there, then made our way to I5 towards home.

Not sure how many people from the Seattle area are going to make the trip, most of the people we traveled with no longer have an Aero car anymore. I would not mind travelling down with other cars, but if we end up going by ourselves we're gonna take our time and not push it like we did before

Rallye Mike and I are planning to drive my 500 down at this point.  So we should have a convoy of at least two.  Any other Seattleites out there planning on going?
