looks like good info to add to the registry,  Is it F3 on the tag???

odcics2

A steal.

I heard that my old car, XX29L9B383272, is up for sale at $225,000.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Yes agreed, with green interior as well.
Add color changes to non-matching drive-train.
Like the blue/black better though...
I would have a hard time not converting it to a 4 speed...

Priced like it was still 2008, expect it to be snapped up quickly and flipped.   Even with the "flaws", there's a lot being left on the table if everything checks out.   Be great to see an end user buy it.

Needs some white vinyl put back on the fender scoops.

how much does the non-numbers engine and trans, and color changes for both interior and exterior devalue this?

3X

Well, it doesn't devalue it to 129k (or anything less than 440 Superbird money).

I think the color change is a minor hit to value as long as the rest of the car checks out.    To someone restoring it to day 1 condition,  the color change is irrelevant.  Because it's all going to come off anyway.

If a person wanted to restore it to F3 on green,  you might have the only one known.    As it sits on B5, it's an attractive combo for a driver.    So at anything less than 150, I think it's a win either way.

i left the link out of the original post, knowing it would disappear within hours.

that it's removed already shows the importance of quickly grabbing screen shots of any and all ads.

i left his phone number off of the posted screen grab, so that the poor guy wasn't getting calls years from now

without the copied photo of the fender tag, an f3 car might still be mythical.

i think the rare color trumps the non-matching numbers by a big margin

I had a rust free 69 Charger F3 parts car.
I can see why they changed the color of this Daytona, back in the day.
Not a very good color for a Daytona, or any other car, IMO.
Why do you think it is rare?

That being said, it'll get restored and in MCG!    :yesnod:

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

moparstuart

I like F3 way better then F8

Ernie,
Great work on posting the ad and pictures especially the fender tag!

ernie, the car I parted was a vinyl top delete.   didn't look good!   :Twocents:

When I said, why do you think it is rare, I mean they only built one because in 1969 nobody ordered any more!!

Back in the day (1979 say) we were thrilled to find any color Daytona and or original Hemi car. Condition / affordability trumped color back then. They were relativity everywhere compared to now. But they were still hard to get. Now 39 years later we knock a car because it's a one of one green.    They all look better with an emblem on the door or a wing on the back anyway. I'm with Ernie on this one.  :Twocents:

I agree.    Modern clear coat makes those "undesirable" greens a lot more palatable today.     If that car was restored today in F3, people would certainly stop and gawk at it, just because of the color.

odcics2

You mean, "over restored", by adding clear coat!
I agree, it would perk the color up.

Look at the R/T photo posted on page 1.
Then, the finish on the car I posted on this page.  It looks dull in comparison.
Imagine no black top.
YUK.   :Twocents:

So, what's the worse color for a Daytona??   :scratchchin:

here's my old 69 R/T SE- the F3 was really helped by the magnums and the white butt stripe
