fuel gauge problem

Hello, my gas gauge does not work on my tank ... everything is new ... when I put the ground on wire my indicator goes in the top so my dial and wire is good ... what's the problem? is it a bad ground?

At the gas tank
Do you have the ground strap that goes from the metal gas line over the rubber joiner line to the fuel gauge unit installed ?

Senders are all junk , not made correctly. Just sent my original to New York to get repaired/rebuilt , only goes half way. Search this topic here , you'll find a lot of the same problem.
