Was Vauxhall a subsidiary of General Motors? The styling reminds me a bit of a Vega or Opel.
Cool little rig. I like the wheels too. That engine though! Wow!  :2thumbs:

hi there Kern Dog i believe vauxhall  was a subsidiary of general motors  until quite recently, engine was removed from a rusted out jensen healey(lotus 907) which uses the same (or similar) front crossmember and suspension :2thumbs:

That little thing actually looks tough!!!

What do you do about the rear view mirrors?    The stock ones are kinda.... um...   weird.

Very nice. Very nice indeed. Love the comparison to the old motor. I don't believe I have seen that much room in an engine compartment ever. You could have two luggage bins on either side of that original piece.

I wasn't expecting to see one of these when I clicked on the thread. Very cool.
I had a Vauxhall Magnum 1800 as my first car back in '89.
It was virtually the same as the viva but had a larger engine, different grille, interior and dash.

Yours must be super rare nowadays. I haven't seen one in years.

The "torqueless wonder"   Regardless, that Vauxhall is way cool.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

OMG...the original motor looks so small sitting between the uni-body rails! Good reason for a transplant! Car has some SWEET lines...

Kinda like a Cortina/Lotus mashup, nice work!  :2thumbs:

What year is the car? What is hp. of old engine verses new engine? It is cool.
