I had both my front and rear bumpers rechromed for my 68', they look great with one exception. The new bolts look so out of place against the new chrome, so I was wondering does anyone sell better bumper bolts and if so who. The ones I have I bought at Carlisle don't remember who I got them from but it was a mopar reseller.
Thanks

cdr

Polish the new bolts, the head is stainless steel.

I like to use chromed carriage bolts. I find them on eBay

originals are zinc cadmium platted and capped with SS cap... I think those looks better than chromed.

Nuts should be with captive washer, but they are harder to come by

I posted those ( 1st link ) sold by piece by Rick Ehrenberg, and if you look at the 3rd link, will notice a cheaper source LOL.

Sometimes the NOS therm can be a bit of manipulation if you ask me.

I'm not 100% sure the nuts with a captive washer are correct

btw, the most correct bumper bolts I've found came from Auveco

Agreed about the nuts and captive washers but the bolts at least matched the original ones on my 72.

The auveco bolts are nice but they are in bulk and usually beat up . So I always sift thru them to find some to polish up. Chrome ones just look better to me.

Is a fact my car came with captive washer nuts ( I was the first person on remove them ). What I can recall is if were black phosphat really. I'm toward to think they were zinc plated
