The same reason someone has painted HEMI on the valve covers.     Looks like it has been assembled for display.    Maybe it is complete.  Maybe it's not.    No details on the block stamping.

Many questions left unanswered in a listing with one photo and few details.

70Sbird

looks like it's missing a couple of plug wires too from the dangling distributor cap.......I'm out

Looks more like a hi-volume pump with a bent oil filter attached

Hey - remember a few years ago when I posted an actual Cotton Owens 426 hemi dyno sheet before restrictor plates?     It made 575 HP.

That thick "Bathtub" intake manifold lid was known as the "Richard Petty top" in the NASCAR world.
At one time, i had one of them in my collection, for decades, before i sold it off.

Yup, and I bought it!  Very trick piece.   Made to get better flow with a restrictor plate.  Used on Petty's car in the Daytona 500 win, 1974, last year he used the 426.

I have a few aluminum spacers, used to get the lid that height.     Could be Chrysler Engineering pieces.

Is the base manifold the same as the ones on the earlier cars?

The Seller is out of Northbridge, MA, google his name "GozzyMopar" and you will see some negative hits about Hemi engines he sells on Ebay.  I personally dealt with this seller years ago on restoration pieces and he was a very good guy. I cannot speak about his engines though.  :Twocents:

How 'bout that, only a half hour from me.

And about an hr or so South of me.  I remembered now that I had him build me a couple of rear ends which were quiet and never gave me any troubles.

He used to race up at New England Dragway as well, running a pink 68 Cuda with the name "Aftershock" I believe.  :Twocents:

Reasonable starting bid and fresh coat of paint to boot

I once owned 3 NASCAR Bathtub intake manifolds for the 426 Hemi engines, and all the bottom, bases are physically all the same.
The internal plenum might be slightly modified to direct the fuel-air mixture to a particular cylinder, but that's about it.

I'll flip my lid over and see if the divider comes all the way down to hit the bottom divider.
Full report on findings tomorrow...
