While sorting through the Aero Car Artifacts, I'm seeing what looks like R6 paint on several of the parts. :scope:

I Don't think it's V2,it looks more "reddish" to me. :scratchchin:

So, I'm thinking somewhere there is a R6 Daytona either missing some of it's parts, or it has gone to the great beyond... :shruggy:

Trunklid hinge bracket with R6? paint on it:

Wing brace, complete with "R" stamped into it, assuming that means "right" or passenger side.

Actually, the "R" is stamped twice. :scope:

Sorry,

None of the parts in this thread are for sale.

I'm just posting pictures to say:

Hey!

"Look at the cool stuff I just got !"    :icon_smile_big:

Can I get some measurments of the wing braces ?
Assuming this is for Daytona

How wide and how long are the braces and the size of the angle iron that they bolt to on the trunk floor ?
Please

That's gonna take some time.  :scratchchin:

The wing braces are buried in the back of the garage, behind this past year's other acquisitions.  :eek2:

I brought a lot of other things home today that are not pictured in this thread, and I still have another load or two to haul home one day this week after work.   :2thumbs:

Then, I can attempt to organize it all. ::)

Remind me in a few weeks via PM, and I'll see what I can do.

R6 looks "blood red" compared to R4, IMO.   I have 2 take off lids from Creative, one V2. other R4.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Thanks.

Several of these Daytona parts are the same reddish-orange color.

Looks like they might have all been removed from one car at some point.  :scratchchin:

According to a drawing I have by Chrysler aero guy Gary Romberg, it controlled air shocks to change the vehicle attitude in the Lockheed wind tunnel.

Looks like a fuel valve out of an old piper cub... or for an oil tank and someone ran down to the local hardware store when the need arised!

Bingo!   Old fuel valve.
They still make them today with little differences.

Today, I was going through the stacks/boxes/piles of parts I brought home last Monday, and I found this. :scratchchin:

It looks like the real deal to me.  :scope:
