low beams work great.....switch to high they work fine for a few minutes then they'll start to flash quickly.....any ideas?

Might be a faulty connection.  As the connection heats up it may get intermittent.  Do all the lights flash at the same time?  I seem to remember that the headlight harness connects to the rest of the engine bay wiring at a connector really close to the battery.  Perfect place to get exposed to battery acid fumes.  Good a place as any to try first.

Probably the switch overloaded as stated. Convert to relays for the headlights and save yourself a melted harness. Check the connector atthe bulkhead for corrosion as well as the one on the left innerfender by the battery. I converted mine to led, love it.

Nice little piece of info, I wasn't aware of the thermal protection inside the switch.  That sounds like the culprit.

yep....my guess is the switch as it is an original part.....cheap enough to grab another....thx for the heads up guys!

Switch is probably ok. The modern halogen bulbs and origonal wiring and connections are most likely overloading it.

everything in the system is brand new stuff....cept that switch

You can replace it, but dont toss the old one just yet.

c00nhunterjoe,

I'm curious as to which brand of LED lights you used in your vehicle?

Required modification to the new led housing as well as the stock headlight buckets. I think they are designed for a motorcycle but for 35 bucks im happy. You can probably get a direct fit for more money. No complaints from me on these so far.
