My mom has a loaded 1995 LeBaron V6 convertible that she bought new but never drives so she's been asking for my help to try to sell it. It's always been garaged and maintained and only has 122kmi. The interior and top are in excellent condition but she leaves it parked on the side of the garage where everyone enters the house so there are scratches in the paint all down the driver's side (I have 6 siblings and they all have kids). I'll try to run over and get pictures today. I checked KBB and some eBay auctions and prices seem to be anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000. I was guessing $2,200. That might even be high but it's hard to find any sort of decent car these days for $1,000. I was hoping to run it up to Carlisle and put it in the car corral but I didn't make it. Maybe the Nationals. I like the car myself but not enough to want to buy it. Trade in value is like $425 and I'd definitely pay that before letting them just dump it!

Without pics, any decent running driving car ought to be $1500-$2000 these days.

Does it by chance have a pencil in the glove box with Jon Voight's teeth imprints in it? If so more value could be there!

JB400

1,800-2,300. Used car dealer would love it.  Polish it up and take it to auction if you can

Lebaron scrap values are the same as Dodge Aries K or Plymouth Reliant K.

I love all mid 80's to mid 90's fwd mopars. I usually pay no more then 400.00 for one. I have had two lebarons in the last ten years. a 94 and 95. Nice cars but those years had one engine and one trans available.
Good luck with your sale.

There was a time in school when we thought they were cool

Ponch ®

paint it purple and gold with two big "23"'s on each door and call it the LeBaron James. I'll find you a buyer in L.A.

We have an 82 LeBaron Mark Cross Edition and I do not believe 1995 is the same generation as our K car.
I believe it is the GTC "G" body car if it is a convertible.
This is our 82

I believe it is more like my 87

Got any pictures Troy, I may be interested .................

you know, those weren't bad looking cars.  My second car was a "hand me down" 4 door from my aunt. The paint was all faded and those weird spots (what was up with that anyway?) by the time I got it as a teen, but I remember it when it was new.

Too bad they were fwd and didnt come with v8's.

They are awesome cars I drive a 94 A body (spirit) as a daily driver Have two G bodies Daytona a 92 and 93 both are TIII cars meaning they have a 2.2 with a lotus 4 valve head turbo charged and stock has 224 hp and gets 28-34mpg depending on how you use your right foot. Also have two S bodies a 94 and 89 mini.

Hit up the Chrysler K-Car Club president. He's...very enthusiastic about this sort of thing...

Over enthusiastic I may add.

Finally had a non-rainy day to get pictures. I ran over at lunch but I forgot to get underneath.

Inside. She's short so she sits on that cushion and the seat doesn't get much wear.

Maybe I'm picky but I can clearly see these scratches even though the camera did a good job of hiding them. The trim is nice but not mint.

In case anyone wants to see the engine bay...

I can see the scratches on the decklid.  Nothing that an afternoon with a buffer couldn't take out.

Really!? Beauty in the eye and all that I guess. Funnily I saw one over hear in the UK the other day....in red just like that.....a customer of mine had it as a summer toy. Personally I think MOPAR lost there way design wise in the late 80s/early 90s....as did most US car builders IMO.

yes it is a nice looking car. I had two of them. Here is a picture of my daily driver.

Dave Kanofsky

Definitely a good looker, and they are fun to drive with the torquey 3.0 Mitsu mill.

Do the back side windows go up and down?
That was a common challenge with these.  Well, at least until the A-pillars rusted from the inside out and then the door hinges had a hard time, but other than that...

I assume the windows work fine as it has been in the garage with the top down forever but the top and rear windows were both up when I went over to take these pictures.

I am late to join in here. My new 94 Dodge Shadow had the same drivetrain.  3.0 auto. It lasted 70K miles.  The transmission went out and the paint flaked off. Chrysler F---ed me.  I have never bought anything new from them again. :flame:
So..  What is the current bid ?  :popcrn:

JB400

I wonder if they used this engine as inspiration when designing the supercharger for the hellcat? :icon_smile_big:

So glad you made it! I really was hoping she didn't sell the car without your valuable input. My mind is at ease now.

That is kind of rude, don't you think.  :flame:
I was not bashing your Mom's car. Just telling folks what kind of experience I had with that drivetrain.
Stu, I thought we were better than that.  :brickwall:  I GIVE YOU FREE PARTS AND YOU THROW ME UNDER THE BUS.

JB400

Lets see. Site owner is trying to sell mom's car, and you tell him the drivetrain is junk and not worth buying.

Do you see the issue? :popcrn:

The 3.0 is a mitsubishi engine it has issues like the timing belt needs replaced at about 70k water pump at the same time. it also doesn't have valve cover gaskets that can last 180k like the chrysler 3.3/3.8 can. but if taken care of can easily go 200k or more. my son is currently painting his 94 shadow with a 3.0 his has been converted to a 5 speed. The manual trans makes them very fun to drive. We receintly converted my 94 spirit with a 3.0 to 5 speed as well. We resealed mine 50k ago and with full synthetic oil I go 9k between oil changes. why 9k because that is how many miles it takes to use 1 qt of oil. I do prefer the real mopar engines but a 3.0 will work ok if taken care of. And all 90's chrysler paint sucks actually any ones clear coat paint sucks. my 50 year old chargers single stage looks better then a 10 year old clear coat paint car

Where and when did I say that ?  I just said I was not happy with the dependability of that drivetrain.  The Stewart throws a jab at me, for no reason.  :brickwall:
