I have been getting the spot beside my garage ready about all summer for a new and bigger garage to tinker around in. Had to get four trees cut and disposed of and several loads of dirt hauled in to get it level and enough around it to get the pad poured.  After having to wait a couple of months for the weather to cooperate and my concrete guy to get caught up with his other jobs I finally got the pad poured. Finally I can get to order the building, I just done one of the call and order metal buildings that they just come out and put up. Ordered it in july and they came out two weeks ago and set it up. My smaller garage is a 24x24 with regular size garage doors that no full size truck these days will fit in comfortably.

The new garage is a 28x30 with 10x10 garage doors and so far I like the extra room between two vehicles when they are parked in there. Got my nephew going to wire it for me and help me get the lights hung up and a friend from high school has a garage door and dock plate repair and install business and he is going to fix me up with some garage doors. Can't wait to get some lights in it and doors on it so I can get some stuff moved from the smaller garage to the bigger one.

Going to move a couple of the tool boxes and one rolling work cart from the old building to the new one. Hoping to free up some room so I will have a little more room in the smaller garage where I keep the charger. Got to build me work table for the new garage so I will have a good spot to work when I decide i'm going to do something out there.

Sounds great, congrats! Since my imagination only goes so far, how about some cool pics of your new garage?  :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

28' is a very good width because you can open your doors wide on both sides. However, you screwed up on the depth; it should have been at least 50'.

Still haven't gotten around to getting some pics posted, so much going on lately. Our little Jeep Renegade decided to crap out all of a sudden so that was a kinda expensive trip to the dealer and just a few days back a good friend of mine's dad past away. It's been kinda crazy here lately but hopefully things will be back to normal soon. And I wish I could have went a little bigger with the building but I am just barely 10 feet from my property line, I was pushing it to get it actually 30 deep and my budget only had this size I could actually afford without being completely broke!!

I still have my other garage beside this one and it's a 24x24 so once I get some lights and doors on the new building I will be able to move some things around and have more room in both I hope.
