So, I received a call about a month ago from a local friend that told me about a 69 Charger XP29 power sunroof car that's for sale locally.   Owner purchased it from the local auto auction in 1970 and he used it as a daily driver for 5 years before parking it.  In that time frame he had it repainted the original F8 green, had some side pipes and aluminum slot wheels added and added some crushed velour seat inserts to match the F8 exterior.   The Charger sat from 1981-this week when I had a chance to pick the car up.   F8 exterior, black top and interior, 383-4 that's all matching.  Power brakes and a factory Power Sunroof.   The car came with all the original parts that were replaced over the early years like the valve covers, intake, exhaust and intake manifolds and air cleaner.   The body on the car is one of the nicest original bodies I've seen for a car that sat over 35 years.    In the mid 70's when the car was repainted it was undercoated by a local shop that's still in business today and known for the greasy/slimy coating they apply.   Well, that substance saved this old Charger as the trunk floor is good as the day it was new.  I plan on getting it running (replace the thank and sender, carb rebuild) and driving the hell out of it.   I have too many trailer queens already and this ones meant to be a driver.   It has torque thrust gray wheels on the front w/ the wide aluminum slots with Mickey Thompson bias ply tires on the back.   I figured I'd share my find and story with the people that appreciate it the most.   Enjoy

Cool, post some pictures.
Sunroof car is a special car for sure, and a heck of an option on a 69 charger.

I am waiting for my turn to find something like this..

If the car happens to have original thrush side pipes and you want to ditch them in your light restoration, please contact me.

Sounds like an awesome find, way to go!   Looking forward to some cool pics of this green baby. :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Bill, you are such a tease - hopefully you have it cleaned up and have some outdoor pictures of it with better lighting...

I love the mis-matched wheels even back in the day.  The interior is definitely groovy!
