Ok so I am painting my Daytona Black, is the rear deck area (which contains the rear tail lights) is that a flat Black or same color as the Gloss Black of the car ?

It is one of the two black finishes in the engineering doc posted - depending on plant.

It does say to omit black-out on some body colors...I will bet that didn't always happen

Half of the restored cars out there have this detail screwed up. They take the black past the mouldings all the way to the quarter panel end caps. Might not matter on a black car but details details details!
