I noticed my car was sounding a little tin-y and raw.  Took a look under and saw I blew a hole in the Flowmaster muffler!  Perhaps they were sufficient for the 360 but not the 505!?!

I'm thinking about Magnaflow next. What mufflers do you guys run and let's see some videos!

I liked the ultraflos on mine. Despite popular myth, they do drone.

Yes they do, ALL of the straight through Muffins that I have heard have drone.

I tried Dynomax VT mufflers. They to reduce most of the drone ,but sometimes the valves are noisy at idle. I think they stopped making them for that reason. It was a good trade for me getting rid of hours of droning for an occasional rattle at idle. I do expect the valves to blow out the tailpipe some day.

I had Magna flows on before. Good sound and performance ,but drone at some rpms gets old.

Never liked the vts for the reasons described. The ultraflos are very mellow at idle on a mild compression engine. I also like the magnaflos, have them on the nova. Has the nice muscle car rumble but are quiet inside the car.

I had the ultra flows and both mufflers blown with only 12,000 miles. Look like new on the outside, but sounded like a can of marbles.

Sold my car with almost 80k on the ultraflos, looked like hell on the outside living in the rustbelt. Odd that you lost both mufflers in a short time?

The drivers side muffler started sounding bad last year, this year the passenger side started to make the same noise. The good news is I got two new mufflers under warranty.

Are they still lifetime warranty on those?

On my 505 I have also Dyno Max Ultra Flow mufflers. 2.5 inch and stock tail pipes. Not too loud. And moderate noise inside the car.
I also used flexible pipes after the Doug´s headers like this: https://www.carid.com/different-trend/flexible-series-pipe-mpn-dtf-2504bi.html
These should minimize resonances.
