It is not a very well done restoration.  Lots wrong in the engine compartment, the dash is rusting along the edge.

Could see in the auction pictures that it was only an assembled car paint job.. ie the dash was never removed, nor the heater box. That said, looks NICE from here!  :lol: and will probably not kick reserve.

crazy, ain't it, especially when the seller could have pocketed more by selling it here, on facebook, or any number of enthusiast sites, for free

HOLY CRAP, I had no idea they made that much, I was thinking about half that much. I didnt realize they got you coming and going.

Plus MECUM TRANSPORT costs if the seller wasn't local and used the auction house trucks!

A buddy of mine ran a car at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas a few years back. The prime time slot, inspection, additional marketing & transportation was another $8k out of his pocket! The dog and pony show doesn't come without a cost...

The car certainly had some opportunity for improvement, most notably that the nose seal was actually edge guard and not the real seal.  The wing gaskets were a bit crude as well.
