Maybe the forum administrator can block swearing & name calling in addition to political topics?  :scratchchin:

Great idea. The Chinese do the same thing.....Blocking unrestricted internet access and censoring their citizens.
Instead of censorship, maybe skip past what you don't like.
Me? I don't like wimps, prudes or people that get easily offended but they exist among us.

This website is not run by the US government. Its run by private citizens who can decide what they want or dont want said here. Just like you have every right at your house to tell someone not to say "happy holidays" or get out.

Class, honor & respect for others comes from within.

Those that do not have any at all may struggle within to develop some, but we can always hope!  :Twocents:

Well....THIS might explain how you can take such an innocuous statement and get all wigged out about it. MAYBE you should have remembered that we have had no bad history, also recall how many times you have PM'd me about other members that have annoyed you.
I'm willing to be civil as I was prior. I didn't infer anything other that that you seemed to be asking about 383 and 400 values while not mentioning a 440, the engine many seem to seek out when building these cars. Nothing rude, nothing obnoxious.
Yeah, I have been both of those things before, but prior to a few days ago, not to you.

These types of posts;

No Horn Dog. I just have these 2 engines laying around collecting dust.  If I had a 440 laying around, I would sell it too. I won't sell my (6) 426 Hemi's.  I am done with any future projects.
Stick with your Gay Midget Clown Porn with your BFF Poncho and leave me alone.  I don't troll on your posts.
Wow..you turned into an asshole. I just noticed that you posted about 2 different engines and politely asked about it. If you want to start some shit, I'll go back to picking apart everything you write including spelling mistakes, grammar errors and incorrect references. I have a full time job already but maybe I can knock off work a few hours each day to get this done.
You and I have PM'd several times and you have always been reasonable....but now you decide to be a dickhole?

Are both rude & obnoxious - from both of you.

As far as this goes;

Take it behind the scenes please?

Some sites have rules against swearing & name calling others. All web forums should, no one should be subjected to opening a thread & seeing the disrespectful behavior shown above.

If this site had an 'ignore' feature like so many others, I would very gladly use it at times like this.

Thank you for not swearing or being crude with this comment.

See how easy it can be?

Not just Socialism... Franco in Spain and Pinochet in Chile were just right the opposite to Socialism, and still got Censorship ;). Is not about ideology, but dictatorship from any side.

But, this is just a side note.

Exacty, it's a privately owned web forum that we hang out at for free. Don't like the applied owner / moderator rules, move on. Simple really.

Touchy legal area. While "dc.com" may be private, the services used to provide dc.com are not private and could be sued for allowed violations of rights on their platforms. Its happened and will be happening more and more.... anyway, the general lee is the best 69 charger paint scheme out there..... and go.

No, its not a touchy legal area at all. Its pretty well settled. Dc.com, to our knowledge, is not owned by a local, state, or federal stat agency. Therefore, the mods can ban/censor whatever they want.

While i generally agree with you and i fully understand the 1st ammendment in that it shouldnt be a question, piss off the wrong person deleting their posts and kicking them out and the lawsuit will come screaming free speech impingement and the website will disapear.

On topic- i posted a reply asking about the engine and never got a reply. I like 383s and 400s.

No, not really. You cant sue a private individual or entity for free speech impingement.

 you mean i cant sue a private owned bakery for refusing to bake a cake based on freedom of religion?

Ha ha !   BOOM.

I mean, yes and no. I dont agree with the suits and that poor baker was sued again by another person for the same reason. The constitution is clear that it covers the government involvement, not private citizens, yet here we are.

you can but you'd lose. And those type of cases involve other issues, such as discrimination and government regulation of commerce.

Otherwise, I could stand in Kern Dog's front yard holding a sign that says "Kern Dog loves veiny throbbing shafts" and say that I have a sincere religious belief in Kern Dog's love of veiny throbbing shafts.  He couldn't do anything about it, because freedom of speech/religion. I bet the same people who are saying "dc.com should not engage in censorship" are the same ones who want nfl teams to fire players who protest.

But from what you're saying, if anything, it would be in the best interests of the site owners/moderators to heavily regulate the content herein, so as to avoid any possible liability. Otherwise, I could sue the website for "allowing" someone for giving me bad advise on how to swap out 904 for a 727.

I'd love to give you all an extensive seminar on Constit

You seem to be misunderstanding me. I AGREE WITH YOU. I feel that the nfl should be allowed to force the players because the 1st ammendment is as you stated, freedom from GOVERNMENT intervention. The nfl is private, yet what happened? They cried free speach, lawsuits are filed, and now they dont have to stand. That baker was sued, he lost. It wasnt discrimination. He said on record that he will sell to anyone. But he refused to make specific types of cake styles based on religous freedom.  He quit baking wedding cakes. They won. The supreme court overturned the 1st case on a technicality, NOT because of his 1st ammendment rights. He was then sued again. They are running him broke. They are winning.

No one sued the NFL or teams over free speech. They came to an agreement, with most teams saying "do whatever you want". So what do you think about an employer firing an employee for wearing a red hat with white letters on it while at work?
