So, here's a tune I'd listen to when going 100+, on I-94, near the BIG TIRE.
Those of you in or near Detroit know where this is...

"Giving Grease A Ride"

So, post up songs you listened to in your first Charger, whatever year that was.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

My 74 SE.

Van Halen, Def Leappard, The Cars, ZZ Top. Ever hear of Big Sugar? Great Canadian band. They like their Mopars also according to the cover albums.

A little story
Around 1980 when I just got my driver permit and was able to drive on my own ( and not driving a Charger :( )
This happened twice to me
Going home from the Friday night high school dance about 11:30 11:45 at the last main intersection I had to turn at
I had a stop sign and the other way was straight through
Speed limit was 50 MPH and this guy had to have been doing 80 MPH
This red Joe Dirt type 1972 Charger blew past in front of me at the intersection
Must have been shift change and just going home from work
Never saw the car again but man was it way cool to be at stop sign and see it go past in the dark in front of my head lights twice  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Made an impression on me
Couple of the tunes I would have been listening to
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

tan top

ZZ top, Eagles, Highwaymen, Waylon Jennings, Motorhead Ace of spades, Bruce Springsteen,  not all their songs but would record all the ones I liked best on to a blank cassette tape, there  was a few other songs that I liked , don't remember the artists but was good driving music , cant think of them now , but if I head them again would recognise / remember  :yesnod:
, most of the time though listening to the 440  through  true  duel  ( no cross over )   2 -1/2 inch  exhausts  with glass packs was the best  music :coolgleamA:

just have a factory thumb wheel Am radio now :shruggy: ;)

Head East, Van Halen, and many others, first on 8 track then on cassette then cds now Bluetooth from my phone, always playing it loud and the girls wanting a ride, all in the same 74 Charger since 77 and still having fun with it!

DAY CLONA

Back in the day and 4+ decades later I still listen to Multi-carbs, Manual Transmission, Loud Exhaust, Screaming Tires, High RPM, and Police Sirens, although I don't care much for that last band   :nana:

Seriously though... Radio Delete has always been my only choice  :smilielol:

My charger didn't come with a radio.  I put one in, and it was stolen out of the car pretty quickly, never made it back in.

My only real memory of a radio in the car was when I had my dads handheld radio, must have been before 1973.  I seem to remember it had 3 settings, Would it make sense to have AM, FM, and Shortwave?

Anyway, on one of the settings, I could tune it to pick up the plug wires.  It was static whine that changed with the RPM and perfect for someone under 10 year of age. The last thing I remember is my dad telling me to turn it off.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

On the AM band, it'll do that between stations, like 560-580 for example.

I did the same thing on my dads '66 Fury III.
