C5X DAYTONA

Curious as how this car could do 215mph at Daytona and only 181mph at Bonneville Salt Flats   :shruggy:
It never ran either.   There is NO way that car would pass tech at Bonneville to legally do 181.

Caution.... Low flying aircraft.

62 Max

If it ran 215 at daytona,it bested Buddy Bakers 200.447 record by 15 mph !! :o

Sorry, just can't take it any longer! Been biting my tongue sense the 1st pix.  :P

But why the tiny typically 2.5-4psi fuel pump and regulator on the ps inner fender?

Is it the only pump, ...or is it a primer for long time setting in between start ups?

Inquiring minds want to know. :slap: :shruggy:

After looking at the various colors on this car, I'm just wondering where all the midgets and clowns  go who pile out of the car once it comes to a stop :icon_smile_big:

One of the greatest lines ever!

Aero426

It's pretty cool the car is still identical to how it appeared in Street Machine magazine in the late 70's.   I think I heard that a friend of Charlie Glotzbach was the most recent owner.     That was as of last summer.
