so I ordered a left and right mopar performance leaf spring for my 69 charger.  the part numbers were off by only the last digit.  after install..of course, I noticed the right side has one extra leaf.  is that normally the case?  thanks in advance

On the stock suspension, the number of leaves and 1/2 leaves is different on the two sides.  I don't remember the exact count, but can try to look it up if you want.  I don't have access to my FSM at the moment.  that is where I would look.

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

The left/right staggering only showed up on performance setups, though.  Base model springs were even on both sides.

we learn something every day.  Mine had the heavy duty suspension so that might explain my answer.  Good to know the others were symmetric.

Just finished tearing mine down not more than a hour ago. Four and half on each side.

My 68 has the 440/Hemi springs. 6 left and 5 + 2 half leafs on the right.
