4 Speed Shifter Rods - Difference in length?

Hi,

I've swapped a 70 4 speed shifter onto my 1968 Charger. Now that the console is in, the shift lever hits the dash in 3rd and reverse. Are there different length shifter rods for the 68? Is the replacement console shift lever from Brewers not right?

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure there is a difference in 70 vs 68/69, I can't remember if it's to do with the rod length and the reverse lockout, or both, or if the shifter mechanism is different.

The rod length won't make any difference, if the rig pin was installed in the shifter and the trans levers are correct, the rod length has to be correct or you couldn't install them. The '70 shifter in a '68 should shorten the throw of the stick.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
