440 engine from 1969 Charger R/T xs29L9b266274 - does this car still exist?

I have had the engine from this '69 Charger R/T for about 35 years.

It was in my old GTX when I traded for it, and I pulled the engine when I sold that car.

I have finally started working on my Daytona, which is what this engine was kept for.

The Daytona can never be a matching numbers car, but if the R/T is still around, this engine can be reunited with it.

it will be a month or so before I begin to freshen the engine, so there is a little time to trade blocks.

if nothing turns up, the engine will remain in the Daytona. It is not for sale.

new number for me, but that's a mid-January '69 build and pretty late for a full VIN - what's the "assembly date" on the top pad?

Bought way before the days of restamping and owner had it since early 80's.  I'll post some pics next week.  Will have to convert pics from 3.5" floppy discs.

Haha I just looked at my vin tag on my 69. It was like watching lottery numbers on TV. Was all good til i got towards the end.

You would be correct.  Looked at it this week and it only has a partial VIN

Our '69 Charger is Nov/68 build for the Car, with the full VIN stamped on the 440 Block.   
I forget the actual date stamped on the top "pad" on the block, but from memory it was just before the Car's build date.
