Anyone tried one of these new troops? I heard if they are zinc plated , it will come of where the gas stays on it.

Translating for birdsandbees . Anyone tried one of these new tops? I heard if they are zinc plated, it will come off where the gas stays on it. Not making fun, just making it clear for birdsandbees.
I have a nice pretty new one and have not installed it yet and may never install it. But if you have gas on your top and the outer ring it has to be running down the outside of your car, and the paint, and your feet.

Ahh. I hate spellcheck. Especially when I'm in a hurry. Sorry. A customers charger needs a fuel inlet and we were needing a quick fix so a REPRODUCTION fuel neck was needed. Seems his has been powder coated and Wilson restoration can't restore it. I called the powder coater and we can get it burned off. Wilson also stated that the new repops loose the coating where the gas soaks on it inside the tank. Just to clarify. 👍😁
