The rag joint - connector is getting sloppy and till about 80 mph it wants to wander. I have looked at Borgson joints but they say that they are for Borgeson boxes only. SO are there any universal joints for a stock power box and have you done it ? Thanks..

If you are talking about the coupler that connects the steering column to the box, it can be rebuilt.  Hardest part will be getting the retaining pin out.

I have done what is in your picture with the blocks in that position and with 10K miles on it rocking the steering wheel it is looser than I think it should be. It is possible a block cracked as they are hardened which brings me to the  steering U joint question. If I can't find one I will be doing it again. Thanks.
