Disk Brake Booster

Does anyone have any recommendations for a brake-booster + master cylinder setup for a disk brake setup? (disks in front and drums in back) This is for a '69.

I have no core and would like the Bendix dual-diaphragm type, but don't like the $400 price tag from YearOne.

This thing from MBM is a bit more reasonable at $300: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MBM-1948-71-Dodge-Truck-1962-76-A-B-E-Body-Mopar-Bendix-Dual-Power-Booster/123726012811?fits=Model%3ACharger&epid=10015332641&hash=item1ccea5218b:g:uM8AAOSwV9RcukOp

Anything better available?

How bout $345?

I used this same setup last year.   Works good.    I got it from a different vendor for slightly less but the kit is complete.

Original booster / MC setup I had on Sinnamon that I cobbed together off rockauto would hang...  So I replaced it all at once.

Agreed....This would be a better set up for the OP, as long as he dosen't have a HEMI underhood, will work fine with any A, B, RB, and much better than a single diaphragm booster, as well as being more user friendly with stock components under hood and under dash, just about everything you need is there in a one stop shop as well as good price...

Thanks that looks like it would be a good option. Still pricey IMO, but probably better than trying to cobble something together.

I'm going to call them and see if they'll sell me a core (or maybe I can trade my sh*tty single diaphragm drum booster for a dual/disk. The prices on the website are quite good: http://boosterdeweyexchange.com/

I used the Right Stuff brake conversion. I thought they were very reasonable. Good quality. I purchased the chrome unit, but they have  original finish.

If you have power drums now you shouldn't need the firewall plate or pedal linkage so you can get just the boost for $225:

Master cylinders can be had pretty cheap from advance/autozone/rightstuff to save a bit of coin over buying a complete set.

Good to know, thanks. So the drum and disk pedal linkages are the same?

I got the whole setup off of a '70 charger with power drums. Now I'm using the pieces for a disk/drum setup on a '69.

Hmm, these don't look correct. There shouldn't be that bracket on the back of the booster. Am I remembering correct that this setup is for drums?

I just ordered the Bendix style booster from Pirate Jack and will use an Advance/Autozone master cylinder. Will report back with the results...

Actually that is a Hemi MC....the hemi master has the lines exiting on the fender side....all others exit on the engine side....

Yes that is the correct Cardone rebuilt unit (10-1475)

At one time In 2007 or so) NAPA made their own "brand new" casting (I have one on my Charger)  Even though it said "remanufactured" on the box, the casting was new & far superior to the original in where the MC cover sealed....no leaks from this bad boy

Nice, that looks like much better quality. I'll check at Napa before buying. Thanks!

EDIT: oh, what the hell!? Napa carries the booster/mc combo for $155  :brickwall: https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NBB503603

I've tried to order that combo unit from Napa with no luck, I've called multiple stores and they've all told me it's not available in their system to order. I'm not sure if it's a legacy number or what but I gave up.

The booster from Pirate Jack required routing out the holes in the stiffening plate and firewall. Other than that it fit ok.

I got the MC from Auto Value. It was $75 and has the thicker walls like the NAPA unit Just 6T9 CHGR mentioned above.
