Stunning work Troy and others involved.

Loving the 'restorick' info, never seen that before!
Any pics of the F8 four speed SE car please Steve?

F8 forever and beyond... :2thumbs: :icon_smile_tongue: :icon_smile_tongue: :icon_smile_tongue:

Just an FYI to support your point Troy.  I flew down to look at Aerolith's F8 Green Hemi Charger 500 when it was for sale on ebay about a year and a half ago.  The owner had the original build sheet and it was coded for the K-H recall wheels.  I think it had a very early September scheduled build date too.

I remember seeing an ad for this #614 Hemi Charger 500 for sale before Troy purchased it.  I'm pretty sure the asking price was $499,000 in the ad that I saw.  Anyone still have that ad or is there a thread on here with it?  If it's the same car which I'm pretty sure it is, it sounds like the purchase price was quite steep, add in the restoration costs and I can't even imagine how much of a loss there would be to sell it unless money is no object and love for the hobby is worth obscene amounts of money.  :2thumbs:

found the thread

Thanks VIPER...
All 6 of the original Press Release Charger 500s were coded to have the W23 K-H's, but none never left with them on.... The guy I bought my 500 from has a complete set of NOS K-H wheels, trim rings and lug nuts I could get.. But why? 1st, the car didn't have them AND, for the amount of money for those rims I could practically restore the complete interior of the car..

If I recall, pun intended, the W-23 recall letters were dated September 13, 1969.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Is there more than one XX29J9B110614 Hemi Charger 500 with the exact fender tag of XS29J9B110614??? If Not then it is the same car.  Why do you say it is not?

won't say i can't be wrong, but troy's car was here in indiana for many, many years. i don't think it was ever in canada.

edit/correction.   same car,  the ad morphed to the canadian site along the way, but the car was here as i thought.

too many cars, too many vins for my old brain, that's why we keep danny on the payroll here

It is the same car that some "reseller" listed for 499K here in Canada when he found out about it.

Let's let Troy hopefully get back to restoring this car.... once he gets it further along it will sell easier!  :icon_smile_big:

the gentleman who was trying to advertise the car for $499 was a buddy of Toms and he didn't live in Canada either. Chicago Illinois to be exact.

I remember when that movie came out. I always wondered why they chose "88" mph.  :coolgleamA:
It pegs the speedometer on one:

Funny, Back to the future was on the other night, The speedo on the car in the movie goes to 95mph and a line after that so 100mph

I guess we will find out when auction ends.

So Whats it worth? $150,200.00 ??  We'll have to see what it goes up to when it's completed...

chargervert

The virus has stalled the market on everything,so that auction result is not relevant.

Yeah, now's not the time to benchmark classic car values...

For me, doesn't matter.. Told Julius to put my former Superbird on the market since I didn't sell the 500... Just ordered a buttload of parts for the initial stages of restoration.. Put the fuel and vent lines in yesterday.....

bumpers;
Picked up my freshly rechromed bumpers and bumperettes for the C500.. They look really good.. They have my door handles.. Will prefer to have the originals rechromed then the so-called NOS ones that are out there.. Really truck handles.

as well as a host of other handles on Brand X websites

I forget his Ebay handle at this moment, but he is one dude you don't want to cross paths with, unless you want to lose your money or parts, vehicle, Real Estate etc... he knows every angle and plays it extremely well, he tried a few games on me in the past with trying to purchase repro Wingcar parts, but I was a few steps ahead of him, for the ones he has scammed in/out of vehicles and Real Estate that thought they had their T's crossed and I's dotted, they where ripped off as well....

Regardless of how well informed or close knit the Mopar crowd is, he still continues to rip people off and get away with it.... he preys on other brand X owners as well, nobodies immune to him, he operates mostly out of his California residence, and if I recall has/had a place in Florida
