Any history on this daytona? - Subject car on Millenial Muscle.

birdsandbees

Yes... it's not for sale. Johnathan should have never let the "kingston kid" in his yard! lol It is a real 440 daytona..

His wife took ill and I fully understand that and how it took precedence over fixing A CAR! Hopes to have his new garage built by Fall and then onto a restoration with his son!

Se car to boot.  I can relate to his story

Is it in Kingston Ontario? Shame that's it's left outside. Someone should let him store it inside.

Hi Folks,                       26 June 2019

First off we hope Johnathan's wife is well and doing fine.

Some of the rust looks worse than surface; realize photos can be misleading (Hmm, who knows about Misleading?). Guess our question is: "Can it be restored to where the repairs are undetectable?" Would it be safe to assume new Quarter panels are available?

We hope Johnathan's wife is fine, he gets his garage built and his Daytona restored.

Best Always,

Montreal Wing Car

This car is ''found'' on FB every few months...
It has been sitting there for more than 10 years, the owner has had it since the 70's, I have more pics from when it did the Autoramas in Montreal...
It is an SE, column shift auto with buddy seat.
Owner has no interest in selling, knows the value (Which keeps going up, even if the car is disappearing slowly... it's been a given for years that it will need to be completely rebuilt around the VIN...), and has been talking about building a garage for over 10 years...
I have personally showed him enough money to get a nice road-worthy Daytona 10 years ago (as an agent for a local collector who really wanted an SE...) and he would not budge...
I've always tried to keep the location vague when I talk about it, (I am surprised the wing is still on it), but it is NOT in Kingston.

That's the same car?!  :o :o :o

Lordy... That's heartbreaking to see something that was nice and shiny and then turns into what it is now.......... What a shame.....  ::)

C'mon Guys and Dolls and others.

Why oh why don't you use some of those HUGE great barns for storing rare Mopars?
Been watching 'American Pickers' for many years now.
Huge barns full of SHITE and no rare MOPARS... :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

Surely if you own a Wingcar in a wet State, you would make some attempt at proper storage... :slap: :slap: :slap:
I left my 70 GTX out for one winter in the UK and it was pretty bad.
Left my 69 R/T Charger outside for two winters in London Town and it was Toasted! :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

This Daytona has had 10 plus years outside at least, what were you thinking? :scratchchin: :scratchchin: :scratchchin:
