Are 1st & 2nd gen heater boxes the same size?

I want to install the classic auto air conditioning in my '72 but the discontinued the 71-74 B-body line so are heater boxes the same 68-70 as 71-74?

If not what about E-body heater boxes?

The E-body will be closer.. I don't think the '68-70 will work in anything from 71 on...

When you mention 1st and 2nd generation Chargers... that would be 66-67 and 68-70 respectively..
