does this VIN indicate that  its an R/T S/E ?        70 charger  w A/C     ??      just took this last night of a charger been sitting for years .   thanks

The XS tells us it's an RT.
The U tells us it's a 440 4bbl.

It doesn't tell us any options like the SE package or AC.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

this is sail panel w original holes for the SE emblem and i think other holes below for charger emblem-  also i see now that on the floor board it must have been a bucket seat car w the 4 hole and the reinforcement near the hump. are the serial numbers the same location as other b bodys ?   thanks

Was A/C available on 4-Speed cars?  I thought it was not.

Only on non-R/T 4-speeds.

BLK 68 R/T

Looks like an "added later" 4 speed hump to me.

Doesn't look like a SE to me :scratchchin: LEON.

I know things get changed but doesn't appear to have SE pedals either.

Pretty sure an original R/T SE car only has the small SE symbol on the side of the car by the roof all by itself without the Charger script

I looked on the inside ofsail panel and looks like original holes for emblems and not drillled with burring rash

CRW-FK5

Hole pitch seems too small for standard Charger script emblem.  More like the SE.  Assuming lower 2 holes are for vinyl top trim.

Yeah, That's why I said what I said. LEON.

Look for more holes along this yellow line. They would be the holes for vinyl top trim. The guys above are correct, you get one, ''SE'' or the other, ''Charger'', not both.
Have you been here   http://1970chargerregistry.com/  and inquired about the VIN? Somebody may have paper work on that '70 Charger.

ok thank you to  everyone-  i can see now that it is a 440 with A/C  auto on the column I will re check out the holes next time im over there.    i am wondering if An A/C  440 car is rare?  I am working on another 70 charger and it is a 383 A/C car but a limelight one which will b better than the black its been painted for last 40 years.

The A47 code for the SE package is usually listed on the fender tag in 1970. It would be on the build sheet as well.

Once I saw you ask if it was a Michigan car. I had to go back up to look at the VIN to see if it was my first car. Last I heard even though mine was a black car originally and when I owned it.  The last time I heard about it the jams were now all cut in FC7 Purple.

This Charger is in Ketchikan Alaska. theirs also 2 1968 a 69 and 2 70,s here in this island.   Theirs no build sheet nor fender tag for this one   i would have to scour to see what the original color was.
