I know this should be in the paint and trim area....but.  I just had my original 15 X 7 Superbird rally wheels blasted and primed.  What is the correct wheel paint for these wheels?  Thanks in advance.   :shruggy:

Roger Gibson has an excellent (and correct) product that I used on y AAR and they still look great 5 years and 15k later. Prep is everything of course but as for the paint, I'd use it again in a second.

First you paint them black and then use Roger and Franks paint.

and do fronts only, with overspray getting to the backs....

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

346,  thanks a million for the information.  How do I get in contact with Roger Gibson to purchase his product?

For what it's worth,Krylon 1405 bright silver is as close as anything out there and it wont empty your wallet. These were done in 1992 and compared to  the reproduction paint you can't tell the difference if wheels are prepared correctly, believe me I've been there.

Centers are N.O.S. originals from the late 70's.

actually , the paint used on the ralley wheels was a lacquer paint , but very difficult to get the toners and correct  flake in lacquer , so Rogers is the closest available, I believe and it is Acrylic enamel if im not mistaken
