I've had two Holleys and they worked great when put to the floor. But I never had much luck pulling away slowly. Tried the accelerator pumps and left it at that. They might have been to big for the 340. I believe they were only 650s That was 30 years ago and sort of got away from them. Had a Edlebrock  once and never seem to have any problems. I have the original Holley for the 383 and hell bound and determined to make it work. And if I can't I'll pick up a new one.

Mine have been great. I like the healthy accelerator pump shot that they provide. Jetting changes are simple too.
