That is the pedestal that the Plug's window channel sits on and is welded to the original 69 Charger Dutchman panel below.

That seems like a decent price for green X2 column shift 440 car. I would always pay a little extra for matching numbers, originality, and especially...... lack of rust!

probably wanted the trunk to open further and someone removed the hinge stop

If it was still here I would take more pictures but not sure what part you are saying looks like it's welded on? are you talking about the hinge stop? looks like this Daytona hing I just googled. I know it was never changed or taken apart in my possession.

Think they are saying the block on top of the hinge looks like it is a lot fresher than 50 years old
