Hello winged car world
First post and possibly last as this forum thing is not my cup of tea and i don't like old car people   :icon_smile_big:

But
I want to let you all know that another intact Daytona has emerged from it's long stay in a friend's garage and has been bought by another freind.  So it's not a barn find or any kind of find because it was never lost... Father time caught up to the original owner and he sold it while he is still healthy, wealthy and wise.

R4 Red, black stripe and interior, auto on the column, Unrestored but painted by Earl Schieb in about 1984

I am not authorized to post the VIN yet

They are still out there and I don't like cat-picture-taken people.....  :icon_smile_big:

Maybe this Daytona R4 peeling orig paint

I wouldn't be surprised if a member here has a list of all the Earl Schieb painted Mopars in 1984.   :Twocents:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

"An aggressive exterior with power to match was enough to pull in the performance boys-especially when abetted by a pair of pipes blaring out the back, and brawny red-sidewall rubber hitting the pavement."

"........the four speed box changes cogs with the precision of a sharp axe striking soft pine."

Haha earl sheib. Haven't heard of those in years. My dad has his firebird painted at one of those shops in the early 2000's. Was like $400-$500 only. Cheap but for the price you couldn't beat it at the time. My dad just did his own body work and prep since we had heard they didn't do anything besides paint.

I agree with you guys...reminds me of another 'teaser' post. Why would someone who admits they don't like old car people even go out of their way to join the forum let alone post up a pic? Bored? Lonely? If I found some super rare sewing machine or whatever, I know I wouldn't go out of my way to join a antique sewing machine forum just to announce that I don't like old sewing machine collectors followed by a teaser photo of the 'ol relic!  :icon_smile_big:

Hi TiMopar,

Glad to hear you are still into Cats and Mopars!
Hope all is well in Essexland?

It was sad to hear from Keith that Bob's Daytona is leaving the UK after so many years... :pity:
As with the Superbird from Big John and now this, seems I was always 'a day late and and a dollar short' DOH :slap:

Oh well, I still have an F8 C500 so 'one mustn't grumble' lol. :2thumbs:

I'm looking into getting a real nice 66 Coronet from a mate, for my spare hemi.
The 68 hemi engine was for the C500 but certain MMA Folks said it 'was sacrilege' ???

Nowt as queer as Folk?

IT TOLLS FOR THEE...
