I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I recall a Johnny Cash song about a car like that

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

cbrestorations

I've debated this car...but I'm already asshole deep in projects as is

Kern Dog

No pictures of the asshole, please. Cars yes, anal cavity....no.    :eek2:

wingcar

This car can be saved, but at what cost?  In the end, is it worth it?  That for someone with more money and skills than I have.

*I am still trying to find out where the Gold is hidden in the second generation Chargers...I've stripped mine down and have yet to find any....... :scratchchin:

At least he took enough pictures of the bad stuff to see how bad it is. Someone will probably use its identity to make a cool car.

John_Kunkel

If he doesn't get his price maybe he'll make a video of it being crushed.  ::)
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

AKcharger

AMD should buy it for their parts advertisements!

I know where there is one that is even worse than this one rust wise and the dude wants 9 grand for it. That is just hard for me to swallow. I don't have that much $$ in my red car in my signature picture.

Crush it.

So this tells me if you owned this car (example, say from an inheritance) you would have it hauled off to the crusher?? Collect $350-$450 for scrap??

Yep I'll take 10 2nd gen Chargers at that price. And I'll make approx. 2k off of each one in the same condition as the one posted in here.

Every time I see a rusted out classic I'm so happy I keep my car inside.

You can't be serious about debating it. There is nothing left of this bucket of rust. Nothing.

Wasco

There is plenty there to save!  Take the VIN tag, the option tag, throw in the AMD catalog and it's saved!  It's a miracle!

chargervert

It can be saved,it all depends on how much someone wants a Charger R / T, and if they have the skills and funds to save it. Not everyone has 50k to spend on a Charger R / T in a lump sum, but some can spend the same money a little bit at a time.  There is no profit in this one,it would have to be a serious labor of love project.  There are members of this site who have brought back Chargers like this from the dead. The only plus being that this is a nicely optioned R/T.

You mean, it was a nicely optioned R/T.  The only option it comes with now is a front bumper.  :smilielol:
